EINDHOVEN, December 6 (Eredivisie) - PSV Eindhoven will entertain Roda JC on Friday looking to consolidate their position at the top of the Eredivisie table.
PSV moved two points ahead of Ajax in the title race last weekend thanks to a 1-0 success over De Graafschap while the Amsterdammers were beaten 3-1 by NAC Breda.
Much of the attention this week, however, has been on goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes after it was reported he is unhappy with the delay over a new contract offer from the Eindhoven club.
Yet coach Jan Wouters is confident the Brazilian will stay with the club and believes the team have not been distracted from the task at hand.
``PSV will do their utmost to make sure he will extend his contract with the club. Meanwhile we will focus exclusively on Friday's Roda JC game and so will Gomes,'' said Wouters.
``I talked to him and he understood our mutual interest in getting a good result against Roda JC.
``We will operate as a team. We all have one goal in mind: prepare thoroughly and win games. Gomes has done very well in training and he is in a cheerful mood, as always.''
Danko Lazovic is expected to fill in for the suspended Danny Koevermans while Tommie van der Leegte (stomach), John de Jong (knee) and Jan Kromkamp (knee) are all ruled out.
Manual Da Costa is back in full training and has joined up with the squad.
Opponents Roda have been performing above expectations and lie sixth in the table.
Following last week's 3-2 win over Vitesse Arnhem, Raymond Atteveld's side have gone three Eredivisie games without defeat.
However, they have not won away from home since October 7 when they secured a 5-3 result at VVV Venlo although that has done little to dampen Atteveld's enthusiasm.
``It's lovely to play such a top game in Eindhoven, in a sold out stadium,'' he said.
``We would like to leave Eindhoven with three points. We've made it quite difficult for PSV in recent years without taking home points.
``That is something we would like to change.''
Vincent Lachambre (heel) and Jamaique Vandamme (knee) miss out for Roda.

Due to sudden change in odds from 1.25 to 1.5 for PSV, would be advisable to skip this game. In fact if the odds were to drop back to 1.25, I would fancy taking PSV -1.25. If current handicap remains at PSV -1.5, I suggest to skip the game. (12.39Am)
Latest check on the AH showed that PSV is back to -1.25. If this remains, final verdict would be to take PSV -1.25. (1.23Am)
Changes in the payout for AH therefore reduce my bet to 3 star bet for PSV instead of 5 star bet. (3.20Am)
